TLA 45Colt 001This is a Texas Longhorn Arms #5 in 45 Colt I ordered from Bill Grover after hunting with him at the YO ranch. The backstarp is engraved "Made for James F. Swidryk  by Bill Grover- Inventor". I never expected Mr. Grover to engrave those words as it  was a complete surprise. The front sight has a brass elevation bar across the face.

"I have more guns then I need but not as many as I want"

Great Gun!

James, you are truly blessed to own such a fine weapon! I am so envious I can't stand it. Chris

TLA

The little I've learned of TLA came from the writing of the brothers Quinn, and a smattering here and there. I recall Mr. Taffin mentioning TLA a few times.  I've never seen one, other than pictures. Can anyone here say exactly what it is that makes a TLA so desirable now? I guess what I'm attempting to understand is-if TLA was say, another Freedom Arm, was it the best kept secret ever-or was it more along the lines of an interesting curio that due to rarity has sailed to the stratosphere?

Explain it to him James.

It is far beyond my expertise to explain a TLA since I've never even held one, however I think they are a true right hand gun with loading gate etc on the left as opposed to the normal SA. They are very sought after guns and of the highest quality workmanship as far as I have heard. Chris

I have held one but never shot one. I would truely love to have one. Fine workmanship on the one I saw. I belive it has Keiths finger prints all over it.  from the grip frame to the loading gate......Buck
