I don't know what folks religious beliefs might be, but if you can find it in your heart you might send some prayers out to the White Mountains of Arizona. The Wallow fire has forced evacuation of Greer today, and more towns are threatened. Alpine and Nutrioso are already evacuated. This is a human caused disaster, and heavy smoke is choking the air all the way over New Mexico, and into Colorado.  So far 2000 people are working this fire, and its so big they can't even get a handle on it.

Its been a long one, enduring through this fire, for many, many people, and there are new worries to the land. Some are predicting a record monsoon, which means just one thing after a fire of this size-flooding. Well, folks will have to cross this bridge when and if it arrives, right now, the SW is still in its driest period in recorded history. Springerville and Eager have the evacuation order rescinded-but smoke is still thick.
