Hard to beat that Colt finish, ain't it?

Don't worry. Be happy.

My favorite guns are Colts, older ones so can't relate to the newer ones but that one of yours looks great. Chris S

A good accurate load & one

A good accurate load & one that should give clover leaf groups would be the 148gr wadcutter target load.
I'll bet that will be a fun gun to shoot!
Enjoy.

Love 'em

I love traditional guns like the SAA, and rifles with controlled round feed.
Don't just keep yours on the shelf, be sure to put some lead down range. An old load, but a good one, utilizes the Keith 173 SWC to about 1,000 fps, but any 38 load should provide a smile...

Beautifuuullll Colt

Well it is almost two Chritsmas's later, but that is a gun to remember years to come.  Reminds me of one of my first blue steel SAA's.  Same barrel length in 44-40, and the bluing and case coloring were just incredible.  It was a late 3rd generation like yours, and I am away from the safe, but I believe it had the cylinder pin sleeve like the early and 2nd gen. Colts?  The thing I remember most, and still love about the revolver, was how smooth the action was.  Every other 3rd gen.model SAA I have owned required an action job: but not that newer model.  How does yours shoot?  Have you developed/found a favorite load?   Great looking Colt.
