Was shooting my 105 year old ITHACA FLUES 12 ga. with Browning ''little Skeeters'' inserts for 20 ga. shells tjis week.
couple folks told me when I bought them  about 6-7 years ago that I just wasted my cash....  Well, they have worked flawlessly.  I have no trouble shooting  12 ga.field loads in the old gun.....but shooting the 20 is a pleasure....very little recoil and the 20 patterns well with  7/8   or  1 ounce federal target and field loads...
sort of like an overbore barrel.... wad SEAL the shot charge upon firing and the load is NOT appreciated by local blue and ruff grouse.
certainly a lot cheaper than buying a double 20 these days.

Nice!

I have the 20 gauge-410 Skeeters and use them for varmints and red squirrels when they get too pesty! Neat little units and a lot cheaper than the full size inserts! Chris S

LITTLE SKEETERS/ VARIOUS SUB-GAUGES.

The  little-skeeters,     marketed by BROWNING   can be ''googled''  for photos and info....
CERTAINLY worth the money......  I am referring to the  12  to  20  gauge......(my only experience)
I first heard about them in an article written by  /shooter/hunter  ROSS SEYFRIED.
He tried them ,but  I.I.R.C. the  12   to  .410 was not too impressive.... I would think the 20- .410 would be worth looking at.
as a side note, I have fired the inserts in  two of my model 37 pumps and an old Mossberg 500   ,single shot, just as an experiment.... functioned fine...
I did not think it  wise to carry the 20 ga. and 12 ga.  together...     W.C./  GLENN
