"357 mag, the most powerful handgun in the world"
First name out of the hat, a very nice offering by Chris3755, Pre-44 mag circa 1949 Reprint "Experiments of a Handgunner" (J Roper) Excellent condition. I can't put this one down.
Runner up a fine copy of a book originally written in the '30's, Triggerometry (Cunningham) non-PC stories of some of the most recognizable names, Billy the Kid, Hardin, Wild Bill, Slaughter, Horn, Longly, Hughes, Thompson, Breakenridge and more.
So to really confuse things, I think I'll try a "weighted points system"
Enter the drawing, one entry. Also one entry if you entered last time and didn't win. Clear as mud, right?
Look,I am very gratefull at winning last months drawing. But after dealing with the Washington Dept of Fish and Wildlifes drawing system I'm worried where this is going. Just (kinda)joking. Oh, by the way throw my name in.I was thinking(mistake)that if the winners wanted to read the books, sign and date the inside cover and send them to the next interested forum member, keep the wealth flowing so to speak. Then I thought Damn, what if I really like the book and want to keep it? I'll shut up and get back to work now. Don
I hate giving up a good book as well, the idea of re-gifting sounds good. Media mail is only 2-3 bucks. Sounds like an Elmer Keith Mail Library in the works here.
And hey, I like the idea of a weighted point system. I think every year you don't fill your tag you get another point added to your bull or buck.
...there was a chance I'd get them back, I might cough up some of my really prized books.
Now I have to figure out how to load last years Elk pic. By the way great pic, wheres he from? Don
Whatcha got? I'm good for it really any prized books you have are safe with me and besides UPS, The Postal Service they never lose a thing.
re: Bull
Lewis County a couple years back. Nice to have friends with loaders.
re: Pictures
Read my post on the dang image picker in tips and tricks, or email it and I'll load it for you.
re: books
I'll look around and see what I have, besides the required Sixguns & Hell I was There (Keith), Single Action Sixguns & Book of the 44 (Taffin)
Have some American West type books lurking around somewhere, probably right between "A Bridge to Far" and "Asimov" the way I organize things.
AL: In the interest of keeping you around a while longer, it might be noted that it isn't a good thing to be under the bucket when doing those chores. I know I'm being too picky! Best, Chris
Put me in for the book. I always wanted to read Triggernometry. Ropers book is wonderful too.
Who won the 1st second and third place on last months drawing?
Your in!
Don and Harley won.
Good Luck.
I'm almost done with Triggernometry, I could send it to you and then, (assuming you don't win), you could send it to the winner when you are finished. Media Mail is only 2-3 bucks.
Al

put me in for the next book(s). I will win someday.
Is there going to be an October Give away? Who won the September one?
Just got behind a little. I'll do the Sep drawing Sunday and dig out the next books.
Thanks--
Al
First place, Gregorius
Second place, Gunsmith
PM me your mailing address, I'll get the books out. (might be a couple more days for you, gunsmith, almost done!)
Thank you. I am going to donate some books when I go though my library and find out what I have in doubles.
Got the Book in the mail today. Thank you all for the wonderful reading. I am in trouble with my wife now. Spending too much time in the Reading room. Took it out to the T.V.Room, and too many distractions. I guess I will have to stay up all night for a week, just so I can read it in peace and quiet. It starts out with info that no one has ever put in writing before, and goes way past that in a hurry.
Thanks again. I will get the copy of Sixguns out when I find it. I put it somewhere safe, and can't remember where. Where ever it is safe from anyone or anything. I hope.
